Happy New Year 2020

New year's and belated Christmas greetings to my long distance friends and family.  It's just over two years since I decided to sell Rhodewood Cottage, and after a long stressful process, building alteration work has finally come to a close, and I can relax in my new home.  I haven't actually finished of course - does one ever?  I have about thirst boxes still to unpack, mostly books, some rooms to sort out, and a few remaining jobs to do, sometime in 2020 ideally.  But 27 The Glebe feels like home - a couple of longstanding friends have said that it seems as though I've always been there!

My general health is reasonably good (toucch-wood), but I have quite ba serious problem now with my sight, as I'm suffering from age-related macular degeneration, probably brought on by the ulcrative colitis - first diagnosed in 1987.  Reading is becoming difficult, and I think my driving days are numbered ... still I walk a lot and also swim in the warmer months, and, as I have a bus pass and am in walking distance of most things I can't complain.  So I won't!

I rejoined Tenby Male Choir last January, which keeps me out of some mischief whilst getting me into other, but mainly I'm glad to be back singing!  Otherwise I spend a lot of time chewing the fat with friends, neighbours, and my godson Alex.  Life is still good so long as I don't think about Brexit too much - or the general state of the world!

Below are a few photos of 2019.  Clicking on an image will open it it a new window - pressing CTL W will close it again

In the meantime, my new house was in chaos,
not helped by an incompetend builder who
I soon got rid of - though it was a painful process!
